FAQ
What parrot species are available to be reserved?
At Florida Parrot, we offer a wide selection of parrots for sale including Macaws, African Greys, Cockatoos, Amazon parrots, Eclectus parrots, Conures, Lories, and Pionus. Our inventory includes hand-fed and socialized baby parrots from Day 1. Availability varies frequently, we recommend to contact us for current inventory on our babies.
Are your baby parrots hand-fed and socialized?
Yes. All of our baby parrots are hand-fed and raised in a social environment to ensure they are tame, affectionate, and well-adjusted. Early socialization helps create friendly parrots that bond easily with families and both genders. We also desensitize them to regular household items and noises.
Do you provide a health guarantee and DNA?
Yes. Every parrot is carefully monitored, properly weaned, and health-checked before going to its new home. We prioritize proper nutrition, clean housing, and overall bird wellness to ensure a healthy feathered friend. Before receiving your baby you will be given a certificate from the lab which will show the gender of your baby and negative results to ensure a disease free and healthy baby.
What is the best parrot species for beginners?
For first-time bird owners, smaller species like Conures and some Poicephalus species are often recommended. They typically require less space and may be easier to manage than larger parrots like macaws or cockatoos. We help match each family with the right bird based on lifestyle and experience, as well as household type.
How long do parrots live on average?
Parrot lifespan varies by species:
• Small parrots: 15–25 years
• Medium parrots: 25–40 years
• Large parrots (Macaws, African Greys): 40–70+ years
Remember Buying a parrot is a long-term commitment, we recommend asking the right questions and doing the right research before reserving a baby with us.
How can I reserve a baby parrot?
Due to the high demand for baby parrots, we recommend reserving in advance. Contact us to learn about deposits, upcoming clutches, and expected availability dates which all vary by species and time of the year you inquire.
